I'm linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy!
Don't you hate that time of year when the calendar says it's April but the thermometer says it's February? Yeah, me too. I've been struggling with trying to look appropriate for the season, but warm enough to keep the chill away. My answer? Layers!

On My Needles Monday
I've got to admit, having this little feature has held me accountable. Now, instead of just buying patterns and yarn, I actually have to knit too.* Go figure!

This week, I nearly finished the back of the Milkshake sweater. Just a few more rows and I'm done! And then it's on to the front of the sweater, because I think just donning the back of a sweater isn't considered socially acceptable.
*Who am I kidding. I bought plenty of patterns and yarn this week, too ;)
Happy knitting!

On My Needles Monday
This past week I enjoyed the luxury of Spring Break - all while sick. However, this turned into the perfect opportunity to get some knitting done! I have reached the armholes for the back of the Milkshake sweater and if I keep things going at this rate, I may actually get to wear this before it gets too warm out! Pigs are flying!

So what are you working on?
Happy knitting!

What I Wore Wednesday
It's Wednesday, and you know what that means! Another addition of What I Wore Wednesday, courtesy of The Pleated Poppy.

jeans: nordstrom | pink cardi, silver striped scarf: j.crew | ruffle top: banana
I have been all about the cardigan lately - they have been great for transitioning between winter and spring -- now only if the spring weather would last for more than a day!

On My Needles Monday
Welcome, friends!

This week, I tackled more of my Rowan Milkshake sweater. The most time consuming part was the "baubles" at the bottom -- but it also happens to be my favorite part of the sweater. Many times, "time consuming" and "favorite" don't end up in the same sentence, so I'm relishing this.

I love how the poppy color adds such a pop of color (errr), and now it's just regular stockinette stitching for awhile -- which is perfectly fine with me, because stockinette stitching = being able to catch up on my reality TV and not look at the pattern too closely.
With Spring Break this week, I'm hoping to make decent progress!

3 Bags Full
For awhile now, I've really wanted to try and knit a stuffed toy. I have seen so many of these in the stores and they look like they'd be the perfect companion for a wee one (or...errr...for me). I came across this FREE pattern on Magpie Patterns and just had to share! It would make the perfect addition to any Easter basket...and did I mention it's FREE?

Check out Magpie Patterns for this and many more! Plus, check out Fuzzy Mitten for this and many other cuties!
So, what are you waiting for?
Happy knitting!
